In order to make a moral case you must first have morals. The Left does not.

Sen. McCain is undoubtedly a patriot, and his actions during his internment as a Vietnam prisoner of war are heroic to be sure, but as he approaches the end of his life, John McCain is proving himself to be a bitter old man airing his many grudges.

THE LEFT should be a little more selective in its choice of victim groups.

AN EXCELLENT IDEA: The Trump Administration wants to take the mystery out of how much hospitals charge.

Yes. I'd sure like to know why did my local hospital charged $70,000 for an outpatient surgery for which Medicare reimbursed only $5,000 and I paid nothing. When the ratio between cost billed and cost paid is 14:1, I'd sure like to know why.

And if I'm going to have to pay for surgery out of my own pocket, I sure as hell want to know how much I'm going to to pay - and to whom - before the surgery, not 3 months later.

SENATE DEMOCRATS: We're horrified the GOP is exploiting our power grab on judicial confirmations.

And we're going to continue exploiting your power grab after we win the Senate again in 2018.

LAST YEAR Seattle cut ties with Wells Fargo over the Dakota Access pipeline, but no one else wants their business. Here's what I'd like to see:

Seattle to Wells Fargo: "Um, I know we told you to pound sand and insinuated you were morally offensive as an institution, but can we hire you again?"

Wells Fargo to Seattle: "Pound sand."

On the other hand, Wells Fargo's reputation isn't spotless either, so perhaps they would make a good pair....

HAWAII VOLCANO stokes fears of west coast eruptions. Maybe we'll get lucky and the Left coast will break off and drift out to sea to join Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific ocean.

THE LEFT can’t handle the truth on illegal immigration. With the Left, it's about feelings, not truth.

THE WIND ENERGY FIASCO writ large. Until Congress can pass a law that requires the wind to blow at a constant 22 (or whatever) mph 24 hours/day, 7 days a week - and enforce it - wind energy is a terrible idea.

Even assuming wind energy is efficient in niche applications, PowerLine captured my major gripe in this parenthetical statement:

No one develops wind farms in or near wealthy suburbs. Instead, they are located in rural areas and billions are spent on transmission lines to carry electricity to where it is consumed.

Let's put wind turbines where they're really needed - on the roof of every tall building in Manhattan.
