FALLING LEAVES 2021, Week 11:

Well, it's almost over this year. Next week I'll quit this series. Here's the usual pond view, and now even the tulip magnolia has given up for the year, and there's been enough wind to take the remaining leaves down.

Here's our house, the picture taken from halfway down the path to the pond. The path was so clogged with leaves that it was difficult to see it, and the few stair steps we have along the path were completely obscured. In the summer the house would be completely obscured by the foliage (which is today inches deep on the ground.

Now down at the pond for a view of the fountain. The ridge line you can see is the road through our subdivision. In summer it isn't visible from the pond.

Now back up along the road looking at our home. The yard, such as it is, is an inch or more deep in fallen leaves. All the green is from the pine trees; all the others are bare.

Finally, a look south down the road from our driveway. It's not that cold (yet) but winter has clearly begun.
