MICHAEL TOTTEN on Obama’s selection of a new Director of National Intelligence: “Good grief.... I’d have a little more faith in the Obama Administration’s foreign policy officials if they demonstrated more consistent knowledge of Middle East 101.”

REPUBLICANS WIN SEAT IN DEMOCRATIC STRONGHOLD.
But we can hope.
Republican Charles Djou topped Democrats Colleen Hanabusa and former Rep. Ed Case (D-HI) to succeed retired Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) in Congress.Given that he was fighting a split Democratic party in the special election, it’s not likely that Djou will retain the seat in November when he’s competing against a single Democrat candidate.
But we can hope.
