Yes. I'd sure like to know why did my local hospital charged $70,000 for an outpatient surgery for which Medicare reimbursed only $5,000 and I paid nothing. When the ratio between cost billed and cost paid is 14:1, I'd sure like to know why.

And if I'm going to have to pay for surgery out of my own pocket, I sure as hell want to know how much I'm going to to pay - and to whom - before the surgery, not 3 months later.
