SPRING LEAVES 2026, Week Two: I'll start the week (late, as I almost always am) with the usual pond and fire pit views.
As usual this early, not much difference from last week. The trees are still bare, as is the lawn -- though it is growing some, and the weeds around the driveway got mowed.
The iris plants are growing like weeds, but as yet no blooms. There are a few others blooming, and the roses are beginning to show some signs of growth, but that's about it so far.
Across the road, the trees are beginning to show signs of budding (upper left) and the iris plants are almost jumping out of the ground. I guess the deer aren't that hungry right now.
From Friday, here's a picture of the pear trees down the highway at a local church. They're blooming all over town. They haven't begun to drop their blossoms yet, although I'm sure that'll be next week as that 'bomb cyclone' plaguing the North is due to hit us tonight with a week of freezing night time temperatures.
Until next week....
Until next week....

FAILIFORNIA Due to sky-high taxation and all-around government incompetence, California has shifted from the Gold Rush state to the Out Rush state.
As a (thankfully) former Californian, I'd only quibble about the lede: it should be 'Failedifornia'.
