I'M A BIT LATE (AGAIN) with PowerLine's Week in Pictures. There are many, many good ones, but the Democrats' tax strategy is a favorite.
Now go see them all.
Now go see them all.
WUHAN FLU [CORONAVIRUS] UPDATE for July 28, 2020:
Daily deaths remain high and relatively stable; and I have suspicions that the data is being manipulated (again). The data shown above is just over 1,000 death today; my other (backup) source is showing nearly twice that. Since both (theoretically) use the same state sources, something clearly isn't right. (The cumulative counts also differ by nearly 10,000).
My estimate of the number of uninfected Americans and daily death rate continue to decline, now at 24.652% and 0.0611% respectively.
In Georgia, the number of confirmed cases and daily deaths remain high, but appear to be stabilizing. Georgia remains open.

CAN THE PRESIDENT really delete illegal immigrants from the Census count?
Based on today's House Judiciary hearing (chaired by lead moron Jerrold Nadler), Attorney General Barr seems to think so -- and he credits Congress for giving the Trump administration the power to do so.

WHY THE CURRENT CULTURAL REVOLUTION isn't like the '60s.
A half-century after the earlier revolution, today’s cultural revolution is vastly different — and far more dangerous.Read it all - it's Victor Davis Hanson.
Government and debt have grown. Social activism is already institutionalized in hundreds of newer federal programs. The “Great Society” inaugurated a multitrillion-dollar investment in the welfare state. Divorce rates soared. The nuclear family waned. Immigration, both legal and illegal, skyrocketed.
Thus, America is far less resilient, and a far more divided, indebted and vulnerable target than it was in 1965.
THIS COULD GET INTERESTING: Police won't work at Democratic National Convention because of new restrictions.
It's that pesky double-edged sword thingy. Again.
