THE 'SQUAD' wants it's own [DC statehood] star.
If the residents of Washington DC really wanted full representation in Congress, they would do what the residents west of the Potomac did many years ago - they joined the state of Virginia and now have 2 Senators and 11 Representatives to call their own. The residents east of the Potomac could rejoin Maryland and have 2 Senators and 8 Representatives in Congress.
DC statehood is phony baloney. It's a Democrat power grab, nothing more.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is quite simply a war on common sense.
Read it all, but to me the key element is that common sense has a demonstrable connection with the physical world; as an engineer, I would call it simply consistency with the Laws of Physics as we understand them. One does not jump from tall buildings to get to the ground quicker; one does not let small children play with sharp objects, etc., etc.
What we choose to do and choose not to do is 'common sense' in that in the physical world - it works. Political correctness lives in a reality disconnected from the physical world.
