WHY WORRY?

COMMENT OF THE DAY: Democrats -- big D, small rats.
FORGET 911.

Purchased by my wife at the Fredricksburg gun show. It will be prominently posted near the front entrance of our home.
OUTRAGE: those astronomical images have been colored!
EIGHTY-SIX YEAR OLD WOMAN with dementia faces felony charges for voting twice. But this woman, who may have voted up to six times has yet to be charged with anything.
WE WENT to a gun show in Fredricksburg, VA, today. Here's what the parking lot looked like when we arrived in late morning:

It was full -- not a space to be found. Not a space to be found in the nearby overflow (grass) lots surrounding the Exposition Center, or along the roads leading in to the center's parking lot. We finally found space in a construction area nearby (where the picture above was taken).

On the way in, I took this picture ...

... which is a bit incongruous, don't you think?

Once inside, the show was jam-packed. Nearly every table selling weapons had one or more buyers, and there were a number of AR-15 'assault weapons' for sale. Expensive, but available. I counted at least five already in the hands of purchasers being carried out.

For those worried about the 'gun show loophole' I only saw one weapon available as a private sale (it didn't); all the rest were federal firearms licensed dealers running their sales through the requisite national agency checks.

For you gun controllers, forget about banning 'high-capacity' magazines. I could have easily purchased a thousand 20- and 30-round magazines and barely make a dent in the supply. There were 100-round drum magazines for sale as well.

Girl Scout cookie sales were doing well, too. I missed my chance when the ladies went to lunch just before we were ready to leave. Dang! I love Samoas.

The only thing that wasn't available at the show was ammunition. No .22LR, no 9mm, no .223/5.56 rifle ammunition. Shotgun, yes; some of the hunting calibers, yes; but not even much of that.
GEORGIA TOWN considers making gun ownership mandatory. I don't believe in mandatory anything, but if mandatory is a must, I can live with this.
THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: helping you feel warm and fuzzy all over.
WHAT LIBERALS refuse to understand about the gun culture.
THE FAT AND THE FIRED. If you really believe those unsolicited letters and emails you've been receiving weren't targeted, you're woefully naive.
FACTS MUST NOT be allowed to interfere with President Obama's claims.
CONGRESS SHOULD pass a bill suspending presidential golf until the budget is submitted.
IT'S TOUGH not to be a racist 'hater' in Chris Matthews' world.

On Fox News' The Five last night, even liberal Bill Beckel admitted that white 'subprime-est' Matthews overplays the race card.
NANCY PELOSI: We've got to keep people from spending so much of our money.
VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: Beautifully Medieval California. For me, it's good to be gone.
