When do you think the last time was when any measurable number of voters had their minds changed by a newspaper endorsement? I’m guessing that ended pretty much with the advent of the internet.I don't think so. Starting when I moved to the D.C. metro area, I've read the Washington Post's political endorsements - and voted the exact opposite.
THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW REASONS I'M GLAD I'M RETIRED: How identity politics is harming the sciences. I saw it coming in the last few years before I abandoned ship. I pity those (few real) scientists and engineers who have come aboard since.
