MILLION DOLLAR BLIZZARD: [Washington DC] Police Chief Cathy Lanier, asked how many tickets were issued during the city's recent snowstorms to cars parked on snow emergency routes, answered "about 4,000." At $250 each, those 4,000 tickets generated $1 million in revenue for the D.C. government's coffers.

What's next? A cloud-seeding program to make it snow more often?
HARVARD STUPIDITY OF THE DAY. Don Surber is on a roll, an Easter egg roll.
'ARTICULATE OBAMA' couldn't even sell watermelons. “I'm not exactly a fan of the PC police, but it looks like Gunga Dan [Rather] should have been a tad more thoughtful here.”
STARBUCKS? Is the world coming to an end?
SELF ESTEEM; SELF DESTRUCTION: George Will sticks another pin in the self-esteem balloon.

For proof that the “self-esteem” movement is dangerous, you need only look here - or here.
SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI on Obamacare: “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.”

That’s an exact quote, by the way.

Link from the Drudge Report, which may explain why the Senate staffers have been warned away.
SENATE STAFFERS warned to stay clear of Drudge Report, claiming that it and whitepages.com "are responsible for the many viruses popping up throughout the Senate." However:
The Drudge Report noted that it served more than 29 million pages Monday without an e-mail complaint about "'pop ups,' or the site serving 'viruses.'"

"The site was seen 149,967 times since March 1st from users at senate.gov and 244,347 times at house.gov. [10,825 visits from the White House, eop.gov]" the Drudge Report wrote.

"The Systems Administrator may want to continue taking her antibiotic until the prescription runs out."
Throw up the barricades; reality is seeping in.
NO ALLIES -- but plenty of enemies. Sad, but true.
DR HELEN HAS A HISSY FIT. I like Dr. Helen, and agree with most of what she writes, but this time she’s wide of the mark.

I tend to agree with Greenberg’s Law, and that it may no longer be true is, sadly I think, a result of the coarsening of society caused in part by the feminist cause demanding to be just as stupid as the men they want to be rid of.
BOBO’S BACK: Mike Baker returns with 10 lessons learned from his sabbatical at Buzzy’s Pool Room and Tavern.

Welcome back!
RANDOM THOUGHT: are the plethora of television ads for Viagra, Cialis, etc., a subtle attempt to move sex education out of the classroom and back into the home?
FANTASYLAND: "I think I just summed up southern Europe, Northern Europe in about a year, California in about five years, and the U.S. in about ten."
IF THEY'RE SO SMART, why are we broke?

Tom Blumer answers: "Because they want us to be."
WHY IT’S SO HARD for Toyota to find a cause for “sudden acceleration”.

Engineering is rocket science.
KEEP LOOKING ...

... TO 2010.
