AN OPEN LETTER to Elizabeth Warren.

Read the entire letter.
FORMER TIME EDITOR AND CEO OF CONSTITUTION CENTER(!) wants to cancel the First Amendment and pass hate speech laws.

From the same jackasses who once heralded 'many truths' and morphed it into 'my truth' now have gone to 'my truth is the only truth'....
THE COMING WAR over kinky Katie Hill's congressional seat.

I don't much give a damn about her sex life, but the fact that she distributed those photos to where they could be posted on the internet for all to see tells me all I need - or want - to know about her character.

And it's a character that I most emphatically don't want in a congresscritter - or any other position of power over others.
NEW YORK GOV. ANDREW CUOMO: ‘We didn’t have hurricanes’ before climate change.

Color me surprised. I guess all those storms I lived through as a kid in south and central Texas (and my wife lived through as a kid in Florida) were just high winds and heavy rain....
MORE EDUCATION NOTES: Univesity cuts humanities budget even as it employs 15 people with the title of Vice President or higher.

Stability will be achieved when there's one student, one Vice President. Faculty? Who needs faculty when you have administriviators?

I have to admit, though, that I'm not disappointed with cutting the humanities budget since it typically includes all the 'victim studies' majors.
IT'S TIME TO TAKE EDUCATION BACK FROM THE LIBERALS: First Common Core high school grads worst-prepared for college in 15 years.

More here and here.

Initially I was a supporter of Common Core; then the 'educationalists' hijacked it. I still think there's a need for a minimum standard of what a citizen should know (by educational [grade?] level) to be able to effectively participate in American society. I'd suggest those standards be limited to English (first), history (American), civics and government (American), math (last) - and rigorously limited to verifiable fact, not current 'opinion'. Every other subject should be taught (or not) at local discretion.

To achieve that goal I'd let (demand) that any government-provided money follow the child to wherever the parents choose.
