HMM: Artificial intelligence defeats human F-16 pilot in virtual dogfight.

It was nearly 30 years ago when I worked on the first Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) proposal. We could see the potential even then, but I doubt any of us working the initial proposal believed it would be only 30 years to fruition. Back then artificial intelligence was still a dream.

But then, in the late 70's and early 80's we were just beginning to develop the hardware and software that now resides in the cell phones in everyone's pocket.
