A LETTER TO THE EDITOR I wholeheartedly support:

The police need to announce that they have developed a severe case of “Blue Flu” and will no longer be reporting to work. This flu, they should tell the public and politicians, can only be “cured” if both mayor and city councils announce that anyone who attempts to do anything likely to kill or seriously maim law enforcement or destroys government property will be shot with a lethal weapon. Anyone near said individuals may end up dead, too, because collateral damage cannot be avoided in combat.

No officer should have to stand by passively while people try to harm them.

On the bright side, as a result of the past three months of anti-police violence and rhetoric, police departments in fly-over country will soon have thousands of cops looking for other cities to work in as they flee Democrat-controlled areas.

I seriously doubt the protests riots/vandalism/general mayhem will stop short of infliction of severe physical pain.

So let's get started.
