RANDOM THOUGHTS ON THE WEATHER: The prediction is for heavy rain starting late this afternoon through evening, turning to sleet and then wet, heavy snow in the early morning hours tomorrow. Predictions range from 2-8 inches by midday tomorrow (oh, and flash floods tonight).

The last-minute grocery run is complete. Firewood is in the basement (with more to come later if I can find room) and the emergency generator has been tested. Since it's going to be heavy wet snow, I'm expecting power outages (and perhaps more firewood, which I'm okay with provided it doesn't hit the house as it falls).

It's probably too late to run for Key West, though the thought is there....
