THE BRADLEY EFFECT: Polls don't necessarily reflect reality.
The silent majority of Wisconsin voters didn’t want to admit to nosy pollsters and anyone else that might be listening that they were opposed to runaway unions, runaway spending, or the Democratic administration. They just wanted to cast their votes. And they did.
I think the Democrats may have set themselves up for this by openly denigrating anyone who disagrees with them. For the disaffected, the secret ballot is a powerful weapon.
