RNC SHOULD FIRE MICHAEL STEELE. Chris Stirewalt argues it should be for the sake of racial equality:
The ... move to pick Steele as chairman was the kind of pandering that voters expect from Democrats. And if Republicans become a party that sees race first and abilities second, they will lose their hard-earned claim on being a party that cherishes real equality.
He has been a disappointment as RNC chair. Still, it’s a pity. As Maryland’s Lieutenant Governor (2003-2007); I was rather impressed with him and thought he had more of a future as a Republican politician.
