HEALTH CARE COMPUTERS can kill you. Yes, yes they can will. I've already had one incorrect prescription - luckily it was for one I'd been taking for years, so I didn't read the prescription label, which was wrong.

And if they don't kill you, they'll 'out' your health information to every spammer on the planet ... who will try with their magic elixers.

And so will all those wonderful health care wearables (Apple watch, Fitbit, ...), which will do their damnedest to scare you to death.
POWERLINE'S Week in Pictures has posted, with a 'Jussie Do It' theme, but my favorite predates Jussie - and is far more significant:

Now go see Jussie. And Marilyn Monroe....

More: from the comments section.

Read them, too.
SPRING LIVES: Episode 3 of the series.

Here's the third week set of pictures. This first one is my standard pond view picture, just taken close to the tulip tree (saucer magnolia, according to my daughter-in-law) to show the flowers that have bloomed. It should start showing leaves by next weekend as we're beginning to see some buds.

We call it our 'butterfly bush' because it attracts an inordinate number of butterflies as summer progresses.

I've skipped the usual house photo this week in favor of looking out to the fire pit from roughly the same vantage point as the photo above. The bushes along the stairway have begun to green out, but the trees are still pretty much bud-free and this week's cold spell hasn't encouraged them. Maybe there will be some buds by next week.

The final photo of the week is of the pond and house combined, taken from the back side of the pond with a noon sun, so it's not quite as washed out as is usual with my little phone's camera.

The house is clearly visible, as is the stair winding up to it. By summer, the house will be almost completely obscured by the foliage; the stair will be visible only if you know where to look.

Here are last week's pictures for comparison. You can link back from there to the beginning.
FROM MY EMAIL:
Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns child.

Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time.

It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.
You gotta love the Marines!
AN INTERESTING TURN OF PHRASE: "The modern Democrat party is post-normal."

I would just say insane, but 'post-normal' will work.

IF YOU'RE A 'WOKE DEMOCRAT PROGRESSIVE' (a tautology), you're required to be crazy.

HOW THE DEMOCRATS GOT THEIR DONKEY:
The King wanted to go fishing, so he called on the royal weather forecaster and inquired as to the weather forecast for the next few hours.

The weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain in the coming days, So the King went fishing with his wife, the Queen. On the way he met a farmer on his donkey.

Upon seeing the King the farmer said, "Your Majesty, you should return to the palace! In just a short time I expect a huge amount of rain to fall in this area".

The King was polite and considerate, he replied: "I hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an extensively educated and experienced professional. And besides, I pay him very high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."

So the King continued on his way. However, a short time later a torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally soaked and their entourage chuckled upon seeing them in such a shameful condition

Furious, the King returned to the palace and gave the order to fire the professional. Then he summoned the farmer and offered him the prestigious and high paying role of royal forecaster.

The farmer said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain."

So the King hired the donkey.

And thus began the practice of hiring dumb asses to work in the government and occupy its highest and most influential positions.

The practice is unbroken to this date and, thus, the Democrat symbol was born!

KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND: You can only have opoid painkillers for 7 days, but you can have abortions for 9 months.

That's different, because shut up.

Hypocrisy is the mother's milk of Democrat politics. It used to be money, but that was then and now is now.

A LITTLE BIT OF QUIET HISTORY: How a Tennessee town saved an airplane that never flew.

One of these days I'll drive there to get a hair cut while I still have some to cut....
BACK TO THE FUTURE (yet again):

What amuses me about this cartoon is that these new 'digital' antennas are functionally identical to the set-top antennas of my youth when there were only three networks and the televisions were all black-and-white.

Electromagnetic radiation (i.e., radio waves) is still analog....
IMPRIMIS Do we need our country any more?

Not if you're a smug globalist, as the Democrat 'elite' seem to be....
TUCKER CARLSON: CNN is really a Super-Pac colluding with the Democrat party.
STRAINING AT GNATS: New York Times links Trump to [New Zealand) Mosque shooter via 'George Soros White Supremacist Conspiracy Theory'.

They simply can't stop being crazy.
BACK TO THE FUTURE: Drone style. The original wooden airplane was the de Havilland Mosquito from World War II.

More.
SPOT ON:

Michael Ramirez' latest cartoon.
KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND: Enact a 'public option' (i.e., Medicare for all) and Americans will ditch private insurance.

Oddly enough, she may be right, but only because Medicare (as it is today) is the closest thing available to the traditional fee-for-service/catastrophic hospitalization indemnity insurance that most of us want, assuming that private insurance remains bound to the ObamaCare regulations.

Pluto's not far enough out; I'd suggest the Oort cloud; the Kuiper Belt is too close to contain them.
