SPRING LEAVES 2026, Week Four: We begin again with the two usuals, the pond and fire pit views:
There's still not a lot of difference from last week. A little bit of growth on the ground and the trees are just beginning to bud if you're close enough to see, but nothing yet in the photographs.
It's difficult to see in this picture but one dogwood on the south side of our house has just begun to bloom. Next week maybe we'll see actual blossoms from both dogwoods. Unfortunately that side of the house doesn't get much sun so the dogwoods can't really grow grow and the steepness of the terrain makes it difficult to take out the small stuff that interferes with their sun.
Looking across the valley where our creek runs, you can actually see the trees on the other side. That won't last as the forest fills out.
Here's the other side of our abode along the road. It's looking pretty good - all the plants and flowers are growing nicely, although the roses have still yet to begin flowering.
Finally across the road from our house, the trees are still bare. No obvious budding out yet. Until next week, then.
