FALLING LEAVES 2024 WEEK 7: While the weather is relatively warm today (mid-60's) the day definitely has a dreary, dank, gloomy midwinter vibe. I think it's the wind, which is brisk for our neck of the woods. That said -- here is this weeks threesome (well, with one addition).
If you look carefully, you can see a small white spot at the bottom of the barn door. That is our cat Tuxedo.
The barn is actually his second home, so he's out sunning himself next to his front porch. The cats, all six of them, are outside more enjoying the cooler weather.
Now for two more this week. Here's our pond, taken from about midway down the stairs to the pond.
And this one is of our house, also taken from midway along the walking path that leads down to the pond.
It's clear that the 'falling leaves' season this year is nearly over. Last week we had brilliant colors throughout the area. This week the colors are mostly gone everywhere -- as evidenced by the depth of the leaves all around our home -- and the winds today, even though light, are driving the rest off the trees.
Next week, I think, will be the last of this series.
