ABSOLUTELY: Is STEM [science, technology, engineering, mathematics] being politicized?

I am (or was) a Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers); I left years ago when it became obvious that the IEEE had turned down the (future) social justice lane.
