FIFTY-THREE YEARS AGO TONIGHT, the crew of the first manned spaceflight to orbit the moon -- Frank Borman, James Lovell, and William Anders -- read the Genesis creation story aloud for us as Earth became visible from their Apollo capsule.

I heard it live -- and I suggest you go back to that Wikipedia page and revisit that little piece of history.
