My first job paid 25 cents an hour, with no benefits. My last job (before I retired) paid $65/hour, with benefits that equaled that amount on an hourly basis. Post-retirement, I briefly earned $300/hour for a short consulting gig.

Without that first job, I might never have had that last job.

No sane employer is going to pay $15/hour just for existing....
