With all due respect to Ms. Parker -- and she's absolutely right about opting out -- opting out is not about racial equity; it's common sense for everyone regardless of race or income.

I've written extensively as far back as 13 years ago that Social Security is a bad deal with respect to retirement. Here are those arguments once again.
