WUHAN FLU [CORONAVIRUS] UPDATE:

Pretty much same old, same old. Confirmed cases are still increasing along the trend lines, both globally and within the U.S. The same is true with death rates, although the U.S. rate does seem to be increasing very slightly.

I would point out that I did see online today (from the World Health Organization, as I recall) that they estimate up to 86% of cases go unreported. I use the CDC estimate of 80% to estimate the total cases; if I were to use 86%, the death rates in the bottom chart would dowm to 0.62% (global) and 0.18% (U.S.). The point being that while the rates are uncertain (frankly, all the numbers are), the trends remain.

Reminder: 99.92% of the U.S. population is still unaffected by the coronavirus. Remind your local, city, county, state, and federal government critters -- with a 2x4 as needed.
