I'VE BEEN WATCHING the House Rules Committee hearing and Rep. Jamie Raskin [D-MD], who is substituting in the absence of Rep. Jerrold Nadler's [D-NY] medical emergency, is furiously digging himself (and his Democrat colleagues) a deep hole.

Ranking Judiciary Committee member Doug Collins [R-GA] is helping by providing him with a bigger shovel.

(And an editorial note: I rather suspect that Rep. Nadler's medical emergency will end as soon as the hearing is complete. I hope I'm wrong in that suspicion.)
