OOPSIE: Britain’s blackout was caused by an outage at a wind farm. More proof, if any is needed, that mega-generating farms, remote from the consumers they serve, are inherently unstable.

The solution is obvious, if un-PC. Give up on gigawatt power stations, build more modest (preferably nuclear) generating plants in/near the cities they service, and interconnect them into realistically sized regional networks.

Until that happens, the Progressives' land of rainbows, unicorns, and free-money trees had better plan on more - and bigger - 'oopsies'.
