SKYLINE DRIVE LEAF TOUR: We took a drive last week along Skyline Drive through the northern part of the Shenandoah National Forest. It was too late for the best of the seasonal colors, and a bit misty and foggy, but here are some pictures.

The next two are of Thornton Hollow, a now abandoned but once thriving small farming community:



Yellow leaves everywhere. A several mile stretch where everything was bright yellow on both sides of the road:
