THE SECOND AMENDMENT doesn't say what you think it does. Mother Jones' Michael Waldman [thinks he] pokes holes in claims that the Constitution protects an unlimited right to guns.

No, he doesn't. At best he provides a weak argument that, if you squint your eyes just right, you can almost imagine that the Founders may possibly have intended that the 'right to bear arms' be only in the context of a yet-to-be-created National Guard.

Question: Under that theory, what right do the police (and FBI ... and Social Security Administration ... and EPA ... and Department of Education ... and ... ) have to 'keep and bear arms'?
