EXPECTEDLY: NTSB cites over-reliance on automated systems in Asiana crash. If this surprises you, it shouldn't. For example, over-reliance on automation was cited for the Air France crash in the Atlantic ocean a few years back, and anyone who has been driving since before the mandatory 'safety' laws (i.e., seat belts, air bags, anti-lock brakes, center-mounted stoplights, etc., etc.) knows that the 'safer' the vehicle becomes the less safe the driver becomes. Here's an example coming soon to a highway near you.
