WASHINGTON POST: [Conservative] Americans aversion to [political] science carries a high price.

The adjectives I'v added [in brackets] indicate Gerson's implicit assumption that if you're skeptical of the Liberals' political science of global warming climate change climate disruption, then you must be a religious bible-thumping conspiracy theorist afraid of GMO foods, cell phones, vaccinations, and evolution (to name just a few).

And yet Gerson himself exhibits a quaint quasi-religious faith in highly complex computer models that can't even correctly predict the past. He doesn't seem to be able to recognize that science, true science, is based on human observations, common sense, testable hypotheses, rigorous testing, and yes ... vigorously expressed skepticism.

Not faith.
