To be fair, NPS doesn't work just for 'Big Green' -- as nanny-staters, they're also in it for themselves and the control they can exert on the 'little people' entering their fiefdoms. "We'll (just barely) let you look, but don't touch anything, don't step off the path, and whatever else you do, don't look behind the curtain!"
