Recalling my own career, as soon as PCs (and PowerPoint) became prevalent in the workplace, the artists were laid off and the engineers ceased doing engineering and became responsible for their own art. It's much easier to do engineering art than engineering design, so it takes very little imagination to figure out what happened ... and what will happen to medicine.
