THE GREEN WARS are about the begin in earnest again. A couple of comments:

The Natural Resources Defense Council is a nonprofit and nonpartisan environmental advocacy group. Really?

"We can no longer afford to stand idly by while perfectly edible food is being wasted." Oh? Then explain why restaurants can no longer give unused meals to the hungry. And why private individuals cannot feed the hungry in public areas?

"Anything released into the environment is pollution." How compassionate is it to douse a freezing man’s fire on account of the smoke?

"Left free, man would ruin the Earth." Just drive around town. Cruise through an affluent neighborhood, then tour a poor one. Which is clean? Which is dirty?
