ELECTION DAY OBSERVATIONS:

We arrived at our Manassas polling station at 6 am and had a hard time parking. Luckily our next-door neighbor was just leaving so we didn't have to park on the road and walk. There were several hundred in line when we arrived, but voting went smoothly and we were out a few minutes after seven. I've never seen the lines so long that early in the morning -- even in 2008.

My daughter reports it took her an hour to vote in Stamford, CT, and my daughter-in-law reported hundreds in line in pouring rain in Marietta, GA, so what we're seeing in Virginia seems to be happening nationwide -- or at least East coast wide.

Much more anecdotal evidence at Instapundit.
