I think you’re going to find throughout this campaign season that the president’s team will be doing everything in their power to try and hold up various shiny objects. Many will be with regards to me, some will be with regards to the president’s policies or promises of some major new giveaway.

The Washington Post is doing their best for Obama by dangling this shiny object. It was in today's paper, front page above the fold (although you'd never believe it from the online edition).

I think Romney ought to adapt the Bush defense to offense: "When I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid. But I matured; President Obama has not."
