ENGINEERING: Is Math Still Relevant? I would like to say 'yes' but too often I find myself pulling up an Excel spreadsheet to do calulations that are hardly more difficult than '1+1=2'. Luckily, I know I can still do 'back-of-the-envelope' calculations from scratch when the need arises.
