The problem is that today's Democrat leaders/activists literally do not think of themselves as Americans. They have genuine contempt for America. They instead think of themselves as people who just happen to live in the continent of North America, on stolen land, and who have no interest in, nor any connection to, the people who founded America or who fought for or died for America. They do not support our Constitution either. They would prefer to replace it 100% with Socialism modeled more or less on the old USSR. This is also why they have no interest in our Memorial Day and why they revere presidents like Obama over Washington. We conservatives / Republicans don't want to accept this painful reality, but it is reality. And it is a great threat to our country's future.

Also remaing from Memorial Day, one more thought on the inherent goodness of the American people: Above and beyond for a Gold Star widow.
