IT'S CALLED 'PUNCHING BACK' -- HARDER: Let’s take this opportunity to drive a stake through the heart of academia as we know it.
THEIR REALITY IS NOT THE REALITY:White House Correspondents Association president accuses White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany of 'denying reality' during press briefings.
Key thought: "[M]aybe if the news media decided to do their jobs in a professional manner, they wouldn’t need to be treated like spoiled children throwing a tantrum."

I AM WAAAY LATE on my weekly links to PowerLine's Week in Pictures. Here's my favorite from their Independence Day edition:
And from this week's Mount Trumpmore edition, this one:
Now go see them. They're good. Trust me.

ACCORDING TO HOYT we're living in an upside-down world. The rightside-up world is still okay if we look for it.

WUHAN FLU [CORONAVIRUS] UPDATE for July 10, 2020:
I think we're beginning to see the number of daily confirmed coronavirus cases rise, which I've been expecting (it took the riots to make visible) for several weeks now that the lockdown is ending. Daily deaths are also up, but have remained fairly stable at less than 1000/day.
The estimated number of uninfected Americans (expectedly) continues to decline, now at 44.901%. Since I don't track that number daily, it's hard to tell but my instinct is that it is beginning to fall more rapidly. Despite the sharp increase in confirmed cases, the daily death rate continues its steady decline, now at 0.0750%
Georgia is still open, but with reported cases hitting a new high and the number of daily deaths beginning to show a rise, Gov. Kemp is going to be under increasing pressure to 'dial back' the reopening. That will be a bad move, but not unexpected.
My last update is here.

DECEASED CAT gets voter registration application in the mail.
If whoever is really interested in registering cats to vote, they can send forms to Martha Washington, Daisy Mae, Russell Maniac, O Reo, Tux Edo, and T. Shadow. All are RepubliCats (they know which bowl they're fed from) except T. Shadow, recently deceased, who may have changed his registration to DemoCat.

REPUBLICANS: sheep in elephant costumes.
I'll vote a straight Republican ticket in November, but in the meantime, I voted for the challenger over the incumbent in every Republican primary race, from top to bottom. Maybe they will/did get the message.

I'M NOT READY to go back to restaurants. I tend to agree, not because of fear safety, but because I really am tired of all the damned masks, 'social distancing', and virtue-signaling Karens. Please, y'all, go back to your basements and cower there.
The comments, though, indicate I'm in a clear minority. Good for them.
