The guns in question are ones that have been confiscated by police. Current policy is to sell them at auction to licensed dealers and put the proceeds into the state's general fund, which strikes me as an eminently sensible idea.

But then, Democrats (naturally) are not well known to be sensible ... eminently or otherwise.
