INSTAPUNDIT gives Donald Sterling a legal opinion:
[G]iven that, at this point, Sterling doesn’t have much to lose, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him strike back. The ex-Mistress is an obvious target for a lawsuit, since her recording was illegal in California, I believe. And if, as I saw some talking head saying on CNN this morning, the NBA’s charter doesn’t specifically address this kind of thing, he might be able to sue them for civil rights conspiracy: Combining to punish him for free expression. The damages might be large, and the litigation would be extensive and involve a lot of discovery, and a lot of closely held NBA financial information would probably become public.
I’d do it, if I were him, but I was always a Samson-in-the-temple kind of guy. And if I were an 81-year-old billionaire who’d been savaged in public for weeks, I’d probably be more inclined to do so.

I'd love it if Sterling did take Reynolds' advice....

MEET THE POSTER CHILD FOR 'WHITE PRIVILEGE' -- then shut up.

Instapundit's response to 'check your privilege' is "don't be an asshole." He's being polite.
LIBERAL DEMOCRAT LEAVES OFFICE, goes into business, becomes [at least closet] Republican. Every candidate for public office should be required to have at least 10 years experience in private business before being allowed to run.

A GIANT LEAP? US astronauts should use trampolines to get into space, Russian official says.

If he understands American idiom (and I suspect he does), he was suggesting America is 'up shit creek without a paddle'. And he's right.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON on Obama's foreign policy: "We had a bad foreign policy and now we have no foreign policy — and sadly, we can only hope that is an improvement."

A good foreign policy will have to wait for the next President -- hopefully a Republican.
THE LAW VERSUS COMMON SENSE: But it takes two to tango, and where one side has the legal authority to use force, common sense is in short supply....
