ARE WE BETTER OFF than we were four years ago? Echoing John Kerry's famous 'for it before I was against it' statement, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley thought the country was not better off 24 hours before he decided it was better off than 4 years ago. And it's Bush's fault.
THE HATERS: "There’s a choice this election, alright. Which side are you on? If you’re on the side that fantasizes about knocking an 82 year old man off a stage for laughing at your leader, you might want to examine your soul." Assuming, of course, that you have one.

THOMAS SOWELL on entitlement reform:
Let's stop and think, if only for the novelty of it. If you make any change in anything, you are ending it "as we know it." Does that mean that everything in the status quo should be considered to be set in concrete forever?Read it all.
If there were not a single Republican, or none who got elected to any office, arithmetic would still end "Medicare as we know it," for the simple reason that the money in the till is not enough to keep paying for it. The same is true of Social Security.

TO DEMOCRATS: How is it healthier to be unemployed? Democrats are always willing to address the symptoms (especially if they require taxpayer money), but never the problem.
DEMOCRAT HYPOCRISY knows no bounds: "Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., accused Mitt Romney of 'hypocrisy' for visiting victims of Hurricane Isaac, saying that Romney would ignore them if elected president."
Never mind that the same day Romney went to Louisana, President Obama made a campaign stop at Fort Bliss, Texas (and had to promptly schedule a 'concern stop' for Louisana the following week).
The short video clip I saw of Romney had him asking some very intelligent questions about the sources of the flooding, which the know-nothings at CBS News promptly derided.
