THE DOWNFALL OF AMERICA'S CITIES: Who can save our blighted urban areas?
No one. Withdraw all federal aid and let them rot until they beg for help. [Note: this is a PJMedia VIP post; sign up and join normal America.]

FALLING LEAVES 2025, WEEK 1: Day late and dollar short, I guess, but my cell phone camera has been uncooperative this week. This is, formally, Week One though I did a preview on the 17th. Herewith today's photos.
The first, obviously is the pond view. The difference isn't really significant ... yet. The grass isn't as green and most of the early leaf fall has been blown away.
The next picture is my usual barn/fire pit view. As before most of the early leaf fall has blown away (winds, I guess, during our vacation). The (remaining) leaves on the trees are still there, but the flowers along the walkway are beginning to fail. The grass is beginning to brown.
Here is the tree line looking north along the road. The taller ones have already lost all their leaves; those shorter are still mostly green but there are patches of yellow and red. To the south, pretty much the same -- the taller trees are mostly leafless, the smaller ones, not so much. Interestingly, the flowerbeds are mostly active and still blooming. A few, the ferns in particular but also the elephant ears, have begun to hibernate, but the roses and day lilies are still happy.
This has been an interesting fall season. We had a cold spell up front, but the last few days have been mild and warm -- mid-60s at night and mid-70s in the daytime.
We shall see what tomorrow brings. Until next week then. --

THE FAFO CONSEQUENCES of Trump Derangement Syndrome: "The Democratic Party is shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you!"
MORE FAFO: Would-be terrorist arrested for threatening Charlie Kirk memorial.

BERNIE SANDERS IS AN IDIOT. Demands Nexstar to air Jimmy Kimmel while simultaneously denouncing 'political pressure' on TV stations.
DEMOCRATS: “Why do things that only happen to stupid people keep happening to [us]?”

HEH: School administrator who called Kirk's assassination 'fair' no longer employed.
Just desserts....
Just desserts....
GO FOR LEADERS, NOT FOLLOWERS: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth needs to settle all the Department’s business.
THIS WOMAN DOESN’T OWN A MIRROR or know what fascists are. She's as ignorant as she wants her 'unionized' students to be.
MICHAEL GOODWIN: Charlie Kirk's assassination is the result of a decade of anti-Trump rhetoric from the Left.
It’s also worth noting that the Kirk murder took place during the Florida trial of Ryan Wesley Routh, the man charged with plotting to assassinate Trump on a Florida golf course a year ago.The last sentence says it all.
Routh, representing himself, used part of his opening defense last week to cite political violence in other countries, and mentioned Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and, of course, Hitler.
A federal prosecutor, John Shipley, put the case in more basic terms by telling the judge and jury that Routh “wanted to make sure that the people of this country could not could not elect Donald Trump as president of the United States.”
Shipley added: “So the defendant decided to take the choice away from American voters.”
That line neatly sums up the war against Trump and the evil mindset behind the murder of Charlie Kirk.
Voters can’t be trusted, so a leftist with a gun will make the decision.
