2025 SPRING LEAVES, WEEK 6: Since the forsythia has fully filled out, today we start with my traditional first two, the pond view followed by the view of the fire pit and barn.

What a difference a week makes. The tulip magnolia now nearly completely blocks the left side of our pond. Along the fire pit, the trees are still not showing leaves, and the ground cover is still mostly dormant. The grass in front of the barn has begun to green up and the plantings along the walkway are more active but I'm still waiting for the elephant ears to show up.

The dogwoods showed up during the week, massivly blooming, and are already in somewhat of a decline as the leaves are beginning to show. Seems like they're in a helluva hurry to start summer....

Looking across and down our 'main drag' it is apparent that the trees have begun to wake up. We're seeing the yellow pollen showing everywhere and it doesn't seem to have peaked yet. Maybe we'll see leaves next week.
