FALLING LEAVES 2023. Episode 2. This week is something different as I highlight the damage done by the [hard] freeze we had earlier this year. This first picture is basically my 'pond from the deck' picture, only taken from the other side of the house to highlight the damaged tree just off the back deck. The leaves are already brown and I'm afraid the tree is mostly dead. It will probably have to be taken down this winter [that's our new Starlink antenna you can see at the peak of the carport roof].

The next picture is of the pond, taken from our dock. As you can see it's mostly green with brown evident in the tree canopy. Which is unusual for this time year as the pond is in the valley, mostly protected from winds and freezing weather.

The next picture is of our road, looking mostly north, with the trees on the opposite side of the road mostly (or nearly) dead. In a way, that's good since it gives our Starlink satellite internet a better view of the sky as the constellation satellites come over the horizon, but still ... I like trees.

The final picture this week is of our barn and the forest beyond to reassure everyone that it's still early Fall.
