'MOSTLY PEACEFUL' ROCK SMASHES INTO TESLA, seriously injuring pregnant passenger.
It should be a Babylon Bee headline. Unfortunately it isn't.

WE'VE BRED A NGW GENERATION OF NE'ER-DO-WELLS: Gen Z branded as 'the ghosted generation' as dates, colleges and employers keep saying 'no'.
LET THE NARCISSISTIC IDIOT GO: Yale professor flees the U.S. for Canada due to ‘rise in fascism’.
And encourage other narcissistic idiots like him to go as well. Just don't let them return.

'PSEUDO-DEMOCRACY': Bernie Sanders is tossing out a new term for today's America.
Yes, it's laughably stupid but they can't use the word 'oligarchy' because that's their goal.

PEOPLE WHO SAY PAYING TAXES IS PATRIOTIC always want to make you pay more.

SO THEY'VE FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT I'VE KNOWN FOR YEARS? DeepMind has detailed all the ways AGI (artificial general intelligence) could wreck the world.
There are no Three Laws of Robotics ... yet.

WHY I'M OK BEING A FORMER JPL'er: NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory laid off 900 workers due to budget cuts but hasn't fired its top DEI officer.
My tenure at JPL was in the mid-70's but even then the narcississtic elitism was evident.

2025 SPRING LEAVES, WEEK 5: Well, finally, spring is clearly underway.
Only two weeks ago (March 23) our forsythia was mostly yellow, with just a touch of green showing. This week it's full green and about doubled in width. It's not obvious yet in the picture but the trees in the background have begin to bud out.
Across the street though, the budding is evident. And along the fence we had a purple iris show up, and the drift roses along the fence line are appearing to wake up from the winter's nap -- no flowers yet, though.
Our pond view is pretty much the same with the exception that the tulip magnolia has dropped most of it's flowers and is now showing leaves -- lots of leaves. Ground cover (we call them weeds) have begun to pop through the leaf cover.
The view of the barn/fire pit area doesn't seem to have changed that much over the week. The tree tops (out of the picture) have begun to evidence budding, but that's about it.
Finally for this week, the pond and house from water's edge. Obviously not visible in the picture (yet), the trees have begun to show evidence of budding out, so by next week I expect the house to essentially disappear from view
Update: Here are two photos of our dogwood trees, the one on top taken yesterday; the one below it taken this morning. It's the same picture, taken from a slightly different perspective, showing how fast things are changing in April.
Until next week, then.
