Umm, Alan, I know you're a Democrat so math is hard, but let's try some very simple math -- just multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.

There are 60 seconds in a minute, so ... 700 rounds divided by 60 seconds gives ...
~ 12 rounds/second. The AR-15 is a semi-automatic weapon, meaning that the trigger has to be pulled every time a round is fired. Frankly, I don't think your finger can twitch that fast, even assuming that there is such a thing as a 700-round magazine for the weapon.

Let's try some more math. Yes, I know it's hard, but try to keep up. The standard magazine for the AR-15 contains 30 rounds, meaning 700 rounds would require ...
700 rounds divided by 30 rounds per magazine ... ~ 24 magazines. A skilled shooter can change magazines and recharge the weapon in perhaps 1 second, but two seconds is much more realistic. Two seconds to replace each magazine would require 48 seconds, leaving only 12 seconds to aim and fire the 700 rounds in one minute.

So let's go back to the math above ... 700 rounds divided by 12 seconds gives ...
right! ~ 60 finger twitches per second.
