WUHAN FLU [CORONAVIRUS] UPDATE for May 6, 2020:

Same old; same old. The daily deaths curve (after smoothing) remains flat; the cumulative deaths curve is still showing a bend downward and extending slightly, which indicates (to me, at least) the beginnings of flattening. It won't flatten, though, until the daily deaths curve starts to decline - and the signs are there.

For those paying attention, the estimated death rate is 0.1058%, up a bit since yesterday and below normal annual flu season levels. I checked the CDC flu web site, and the average annual seasonal flu death rate since 2010 is 0.132%, excluding the 2019-2020 estimate.

An estimated 78.991% of Americans have still not been infected, so 'herd immunity' is still happening albeit far too slowly.
