THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE solves nothing with new national anthem guidelines.

Consider me an ex-fan of the NFL. The only thing that would bring be back would be at a minimum the NFL taking the advice of sportscaster Jason Whitlock a few days ago. I'd go a few steps further: (1) play - and televise - the National Anthem at the opening of every game, (2) require every player to be on the field as the anthem is played, and (3) no stand, no play, no pay for the game.
