THE AUDACITY OF DOPE

Yesterday, Barack Obama had the nerve to tell students at ASU not to take shortcuts and live on credit:

We've become accustomed to our economic dominance in the world, forgetting that it wasn't reckless deals and get-rich-quick schemes that got us where we are, but hard work and smart ideas -- quality products and wise investments. We started taking shortcuts. We started living on credit, instead of building up savings.

Translation: "I've already 'borrowed' it for you."

  1. But this is what he usually does. He uses the words his oppenents are using so it feels like he's one of them, or at least understands their issues. Never mind that the facts never, ever match up to what he's saying. It sounds like he's on your side, so you assume he is. I hate to say it, but Andrew Sullivan is apparently REALLY figuring that out this week.

It's just in this case... well... I'm glad he's been training us for a while, cause he's definitely throwing the heavy weights at us now.
