9/11 REMINDER

This morning dawned a perfect fall day; cool, crisp, cloudless, no wind. Squirrels were active in the yard, and the birds singing.

The first thing my wife said when she came out to the porch: “This reminds me of 9/11.”

Say what you will about the Bush administration, I always woke up in the morning believing that the government was doing its level best to prevent another terrorist attack.

Not any more.

  1. But I do believe Bush and the Army pushed them back enough that it'll take at least five years for them to bounce back.

It worries me more what we're making this country become for your sacrifices than the threat of more danger.

Of course, that said, the shooting range is more of a priority for me these days.

  2. I agree with your worry on the domestic front, but the recent news, particularly from Pakistan, coupled with the Administration's blase approach to foreign relations has me worried.

  3. You may a convincing point... which I don't think we'll be very comforting to either of us.
